Ramapuram Sri Shiva Vishnu temple is situated in Ramapuram, behind Nirmalagiri College about 4 km from Kuthuparamba. Both Lord Shiva and Vishnu are worshipped here with equal importance which is a unique feature in whole of Kerala.

Lord Vishnu is depicted as blessing Prahlada after the assassination of King Hiranyakashipu.

The Shivalinga here dates back to Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja popularly known as Kerala Simham or Lion of Kerala, was a Hindu Nair King ( the Suryavansha Kshatriyas ) of Kottayam, which was based in modern Kannur District. It is believed this shivalinga was handed over to Kavumkara Illam after the British demolished the Palace and Kovilakam of Pazhassi.
